2018 Singapore Yacht Show: An International and Asia Debut

The top lineup featured in the 2018 Singapore Yacht Show (SYS) stands as an epitomised symbol of luxurious living. Several newly launched yacht brokerages and shipyards have even been showcased in Asia and all over the world, some of which will be featured in this coverage.

The Granocean 80 is a catamaran designed by Granocean, an Asian custom yacht design and manufacturing company, and made its world debut at this show. The Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 is a brand new line they have showcased. Its stepped hull and stylish deck design are the first as a part of their new label, Chongrunshi.

The Italian shipyard Azimut Yachts presented the Asian debut of the Grande 27 Metri. The ship was given the ‘Most Accomplished’ award at the 2017 World Yachts Trophies in the 80-foot to 125-foot category. Its hull is made of carbon fibre and the construction material increases its volume and surface dimensions, while maintaining the same weight and ensuring excellent dynamic stability.

Australian-Thai company Multihull Solutions unveiled their French-built Fountain Pajot MY 44. This spacious catamaran is equipped with Volvo's Volvo Penta IPS 350 twin engine which offers an incredible 2,000-mile range. The Fountain Pajot MY 44 has a total living space of more than 50 square meters--more spacious than most apartments in the city centre.

Sunreef Open 40, the latest model of the luxury catamaran maker Sunreef, was unveiled in Asia for the first time. Sunreef Open 40 is a dynamic day-to-day catamaran suited for speedy cruises and leading a life at sea.
